Heat Wave

It's too hot. My body breaks down into puddles, languid-language, even running is out. So I wake up, before the sun (when will our clocks change?), before the cars but not before the trucks, to get in sweat and panting (tonight?tonight?). On everyone's mind is the heat, and how the heat changes people (into beasts), on everyone's mind are the cool places we can escape to. It's hot, and the smog is a party, too many guests.
